Straight answers
No dodging. If the honest answer is "it depends," we say that too.
What kinds of weight loss programs does Vida offer?
Medically supervised programs built around your evaluation — GLP-1 medications, Contour Light body contouring, peptides, and hormone optimization including testosterone therapy. Which combination makes sense depends on your labs, history, and goals, which is what the first visit is for.
What is Contour Light and how does it work?
Contour Light is an FDA-cleared red light therapy system used for body contouring. Sessions run about 30 minutes, are painless, and require no downtime. We take measurements before and after your session so you leave seeing your own numbers rather than taking our word for it.
Is Contour Light the same thing as CoolSculpting?
No. CoolSculpting freezes fat cells in one targeted area per applicator and typically costs thousands per zone. Contour Light uses 635nm and 880nm light across a broader area, with no cold, no suction, no bruising, and no recovery period. They are different technologies with different experiences.
Can I do Contour Light and GLP-1 at the same time?
Frequently, yes — they do different jobs. GLP-1 medications work on appetite and overall weight; Contour Light is used for contouring specific areas. Many patients use both, and your provider will tell you whether that combination fits your situation.
Do treatments require downtime or have side effects?
Most treatments here — Contour Light, vitamin injections, and our aesthetic services — have little to no downtime and minimal side effects. Prescription medications like GLP-1s and hormone therapy do have possible side effects, which your provider reviews with you before you start.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on the treatment and on you. Body contouring protocols commonly run 6 to 12 sessions. GLP-1, peptide, and hormone programs are ongoing and adjusted based on how you respond and what your follow-up labs show.
Is everything supervised by a licensed provider?
Yes. Every treatment plan is evaluated and overseen by a licensed medical provider. Nothing is dispensed or administered without an evaluation first.
Do you take insurance?
No — Vida does not bill insurance. Pricing is discussed openly at your consultation so you know the cost before you commit to anything.
Do you offer virtual appointments?
Yes. In-person visits are at our Burke clinic, and we see patients virtually throughout Virginia and California.
How do I get started?
Book a consultation. We review your health history and goals, discuss which options actually fit, and build a plan from there. If you are specifically interested in body contouring, the $79 Contour Light trial is the simplest way to try it before committing to a program.
Still have a question?
Book the $79 trial, or just call and ask — we'll give it to you straight.
